I am so excited for our daughter to arrive for many reasons; one of them being that I'm ready to be able to buy normal clothes again.  I know I have some work ahead of me to lose the baby weight but buying cute clothes always motivates me! I have already purchased a few things on my list...whoops.

Baby Shower

A couple of weeks ago two of my friends threw me an amazing baby shower. I wanted to share a few photos from the night. The food they made looked so cute and tasted as good as it looked.  One of my favorite foods was the Baked Fontina.  Alissa, one of the hosts, is such a good cook I didn't think I would be able to make it. I surprised myself, however, by successfully making it for a friend's shower a week later. I love it because you make and serve it in a cast iron pan.

We played two games, one where you match celebrities with their baby's names and the other where you guessed what song had been turned into a nursery song. Baby T got some really cute things. Her first J.Crew outfit even. Only 7 weeks left!

I am so in love with Kendra Scott's jewelry.  I ordered this piece and got it today. I can't wait to wear it! It comes in so many cute colors, it was hard to pick which one to get.  I settled on the gold and teal.

Disney Half Marathon

I thought I would share these photos while I'm still playing catch up on my blog.  These are from a half marathon I ran with my Dad earlier this year.   The race was so much fun and I hope to do it again next year.  Also we got to go to Universal Studios and I finally got to go the Harry Potter part of the park.  Then got in a little pool time before heading back to the cold! 

Gender Reveal Party

Here are some pictures from my gender reveal party that my friends threw for me.  I have not posted on my blog in a very long time and I thought this was a great way to break the silence!   My husband and I are expecting our first child in June. I am so excited to be having a baby girl.  Bring on the PINK!!!!!

Gift Exchange

This week my friends and I put our Pinterest accounts to good work and did a gift and cookie exchange. For our gift exchange we did our favorite things under $10.  I found it harder to do than originally expected and a few of us went over budget.  I received from my friends included: Detroit's very best hot fudge, hair product, a candle,    coffee mug with gift card, card game and boot socks.  I was very impressed with their creativity. Then we all baked cookies for each other as well. I was blown away by how good their cookies were and could not believe how cute the bags were they put them in.  It was a fun way to celebrate Christmas.
