Moscow...

Shirt: Lush ($38), Pants: Gap, Scarf: Nordstrom (on sale), Leather Jacket: BB Dakota (similar), Shoes: Steve Madden, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I wanted to share some photos from our trip this Fall.  I'll be posting some trip highlights here and there over the new couple weeks.  These photos are from our day in Moscow.  We took a high speed train from St. Petersburg to Moscow for a day of site seeing. I always pack this scarf with me when I travel. It is on my travel must-haves list.

Moscow far exceeded my expectations.  One of my favorite sites to see in Moscow was the Kremlin. The Kremlin houses the clothing of the Czars and Faberge eggs. I have always been fascinated by Faberge eggs so it was really cool to see so many of them in one place.  The last photos shown above are from a hotel bar overlooking the city.  The views were amazing and such a great spot to get panoramic views of the city.  One last stop in town before we caught the train back to St. Petersburg was to Starbucks to get a city mug.  I would love to tell you I am sipping out this mug this morning; but it sits on my shelf as a collectors item.

Lace...

Sweatshirt: J.Crew (similar), White shirt: J.Crew, Boyfriend Jeans: Vince (similar), Shoes: Steve Madden, Bracelet: Stella & Dot, Sunglasses: Valentino

Good morning! I look forward to sharing more photos from our trip. Here are some pictures from a day in Stockholm.  I love this top I am wearing because it packs so well.  I like tops that I can pack for a trip and don't have to worry about wrinkling.  I love these shoes because they're comfortable to walk around in.   Last night I felt proud to make it up until 7pm. If you need me today, I'll probably be sleeping and attempting to get over jet leg.

How to Pack for a trip...

Bring a cute necklace like this. It's a great way to change up a look.
A couple more great accessories like this or this.
Get a cute make-up bag like this or this.
Bring a cute tote like this or this.
Love this dress
Love this tote for a carry on with a cute luggage tag.
These are my favorite suitcases and how great are these shoes.

My husband and I have always enjoyed traveling. We try and save up our vacation time as much as possible to use it for trips. I have mastered the art of packing myself, however, I have not mastered the art of packing my one year old. I always over-pack for her.

Check the weather before you start packing. I love the Yahoo Weather App for my Iphone. Pack enough outfits for every day. Count them out and lay them on your bed or hang them so you can see them in your closet. If you have one of these, they're so helpful. I always bring one flex outfit that is dressier or different than the others, in case I have a change of heart. If you're packing for a long weekend, I recommend bringing three pairs of shoes. One for working out, a pair of heels and ballet flats, or for warm weather vacations flip flops. Then, I bring one or two workout outfits and plan to wash them in the sink. I bring an outfit that I can dress up for an evening out and a cardigan that goes with that look.

Some of my travel secrets:  I always bring perfume samples or an item like this. One time I had a bottle break in my bag and I've never made that mistake again. Speaking of that, always put your liquids in a bag or a cute wet/dry bag like this.  I always try and pack toiletries that are almost empty so I can throw them away and not have to worry about bringing them home.

Dallas...

Minneapolis meets Texas

A picture from the Perot Museum

Flowers from the wedding

At TCU with my main man.

Over the weekend we went to a wedding in Dallas and visited some friends.  We had so much fun.  We went to the Perot Museum, TCU, some amazing restaurants, surprisingly no shopping, and did some other fun things as well.  Dahlia, my daughter, did not join us, so we had a full fledged adult weekend. I missed her a lot, but it was so nice to sleep until eight for a change! I loved the TCU campus.  My cousin goes to school there and a girl I nannied as well.  We even got to walk around on the football field.

Photo Floral...

Shirt: J.Crew (similar), Shorts: Old (similar), Sunnies: Valentino, Shoes: Tory Burch, Bracelet: Stella & Dot

This is one of those patterns that I could easily get carried away with. J.Crew uses this pattern to make just about anything you can think of. I may or may not have the swimsuit in blue. I really like popover tops like this one because they can be worn so many different ways. This top looks cute with shorts, white pants or jeans. It’s a great top to pack on a summer vacation too! Okay, and one more top to check out. I am obsessed with this top as well.  So many links for you all to click on today. ;) I hope you all had a great Fourth of July. I did not want the weekend to end.
